The Life of a Trainee

My first job out of college was at a now-closed Pipe Shop in Tyler, Texas.  I was there for six months, learned a ton, met some awesome people, met some frickin' weird people, and came back home for a rotation in Plainfield.  I've been here for a year and three months anxiously awaiting my next assignment, and wouldn't you know, it's back in Texas.

Like I said, I learned a ton in Tyler.

I leave Friday, March 26th for Houston where I'll be preparing for a construction assignment in the Caribbean.  I know, it's awful.  To have to leave Plainfield for the Caribbean is just mean.  But, that's the life of a trainee I guess.  This is the third rotation of a two-year training program.  All start dates, end dates, and locations are tentative and are rarely right the first time so I'm guessing there will be some addenda to this post.

I am saving all the details for later because, like I said, everything is very subject to change.  I am extremely fortunate for this opportunity, where ever it may be, as it will only positively contribute to my career.  At the same time, I will miss my fiance, family, friends, and Forza Pizza.  I hope to document all my experiences in this blog so check in with me as frequently as possible and leave me some comments.  Don't miss me too much and if you're mad that I'm gone I'm sorry... but I have to PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE!
